License and Content Use

Machine Learning Plus (machinelearningplus.com) publishes two kinds of material: the free tutorials you can read without an account, and the courses, lessons, exercises and certificates that sit behind an account or a plan. Both are copyrighted; this page says what you may do with each. If you want to use anything in a way this page does not cover, write to support@machinelearningplus.com and ask. We are happy to grant permission for reasonable uses.

1. Free tutorials and articles

Copyright © Machine Learning Plus · All rights reserved

The written tutorials and articles on machinelearningplus.com are the original work of Machine Learning Plus and its named authors. They are published for you to read, learn from and link to; they are not released under an open licence.

You may

  • Read, bookmark and share links to any tutorial.
  • Quote short passages for teaching, study, review or commentary, with credit to Machine Learning Plus and a link back to the original page.
  • Print or save a copy for your own personal use.

You may not

  • Republish a tutorial, in whole or in substantial part, on another site, in a newsletter, in a book or in a course, whether free or paid.
  • Publish a translated, rewritten or otherwise derivative version of it.
  • Scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site, or use its text to train or fine-tune a machine-learning model.
  • Remove attribution or present our work as your own.

Code samples: free to use

Code samples are more permissive. The Python code snippets shown inside the tutorials are there so you can learn and build. You may use them in your own projects, including commercial ones, without attribution. This carve-out applies only to the code itself, not to the surrounding written explanation, and not to the datasets and third-party libraries the code uses, which keep their own licences.

2. Courses, lessons, exercises and certificates

Copyright © Machine Learning Plus · All rights reserved

The interactive courses and lessons, the graded exercises and problem sets, the daily lesson emails, the certificates, and every paid or account-gated feature are the original work of Machine Learning Plus. All rights are reserved.

When you create an account or buy a plan, you get

  • A personal, non-transferable licence to access and use this material for your own learning, for as long as your account or plan allows.

You may not

  • Copy, reproduce, download in bulk, scrape, mirror or redistribute the course, lesson or exercise content.
  • Share your account, or resell, sublicense or republish any of it.
  • Use it to build a competing product, or to train or fine-tune a machine-learning model.

3. Name, logo and brand

The "Machine Learning Plus" name, the machinelearningplus.com domain, the wordmark, the logo and the visual identity may not be used without written permission, except for plain, factual attribution as described in section 1.

4. Datasets and third-party material

Some tutorials use public datasets, open-source libraries or other third-party material that carries its own licence. Where that is the case, that material stays under its original terms, which take precedence over this page. Screenshots and figures that credit another source belong to that source.

5. Your contributions

Comments, feedback and code you submit through the site stay yours. By submitting them you give Machine Learning Plus a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show and use them on the site, as described in the Terms of Service.

6. Permissions and commercial licensing

Want to use something beyond what is allowed here, for example in a paid course, a workshop, a book, an internal training programme or a translation? We often say yes. Write to support@machinelearningplus.com with what you would like to use and how, and we will get back to you. For the full legal terms that govern use of the site, see our Terms of Service; for what we collect about you, see the Privacy Policy.
